The Elrics arrive in Xenotime to look for the philosopher's stone. After they save a young girl named Elisa trapped under a fallen mine cart, she brings them to the tavern out of gratitude. During the feast in their honor, the brothers hear that a philosopher's stone is near completion, researched by a man named Mugear. It is soon realized that there are impostors they assuming the Elrics' names. When they sneak into Mugear's mansion, they are fended off by the older impostor. Al is unable to buy medicine for Elisa, since the townspeople believe that he is one of the impostors, but the younger impostor later appears and buy him the medicine. The following night, while Ed and Al enter the mansion a second time, the older impostor, recognized as Russell Tringham, attacks Ed using crimson water. However, the younger impostor, recognized as Russell's younger brother Fletcher, saves him, revealing that this water has polluted the town with its toxicity. (Source: Wikipedia)
