First of all, I would like to say that this anime is really not for everyone. But I assume that if you watch a review about the second season of "Jashin-chan Dropkick", it's probably due to the fact that you had watched the first season first. "Jashin-chan Dropkick" is and will remain one of the best dark humor anime I've ever seen, certainly because I am one of those people who craves stupid, bloodthirsty, and deadly humor : the kind of one linked to sarcasm. Nichijou meets Gabriel DropOut. You add gore, but not too much: It creates this anime. So that's my vision of this animein general. The second season? Not disappointing at all! I even think it is better presented than the first season. Namely in the first minutes of the first episode of the first season, which directly present us all the characters at once around a banquet, without real lore behind (But which is fortunately better understood shortly after). Unlike the second season where we immediately understand the reason of Jashin-chan's invocation by Yurine. Positive point which goes on the negative, because it is a little disappointing to see that the second season explains the story better than the first (In personal opinion, I say that the second season is not disappointing because it is better made than the first, mostly used as an argument while the first season was already pretty awesome). But there is more to it than that. The artstyle, clean like the first season. The length of the episodes, clean, it goes really fast and it's always nice to chain the jokes one after the other. The new characters, they are very pleasant to see on the screen. They do not appear often, but their appearance's level is perfect to not suffer for bland jokes and who really try to be "Funny because there is this new sopposedly important character that we don't really know what she did before because she was absent in the first season, haha... ha?" Seriously, there aren't many bad things to say compared to the first, it's "Jashin-chan" as we had known her TL; DR: If you already watched "Jashin-chan Dropkick", it's the same, better explained and with new pleasant characters

Oh yeah, Jashin-chan! I remember this! I watched this anime while it was airing back in July of 2018. It was pretty fun. I even made a review of it. After the studio sold enough DVD boxes they announced a season 2 and I remember being excited for it. After one and a half year of more anime and more personal problems I was actually scared to watch this anime. It had been so long since the first season and I thought my taste would have changed so much from back then that I would have not liked this anime anymore. Well, after Crunchyroll droppedthe whole second season yesterday and me binging all the episodes, I can say that I still like this anime. So what changed from season 1? Not much. The biggest change are the new characters, another demon, another fallen angel and zombie + panda sibling couple. They are a welcome edition to the cast and bring in their own fun flavor. Other then that… this is just more Jashin-chan Dropkick. The characters are still good, the production values are still solid, the comedy is as energetic and fun as ever, and the references & fourth wall breaks are still as funny as ever. The shortcomings also haven't changed either: this anime still has a problem with balancing its self aware tone with its more sincere tone and Jashin-chan can still be too much of a prick at times. Other then that, it's a damn fine anime. If you like anime like Gabriel Dropout or Kobayashi's Dragon Maid this two seasons anime is worth a watch.

Jashin-chan Dropkick (or Dropkick on My Devil) is one of those shows I come across by pure chance. Saw a few funny clips, decided to give it try, and mostly enjoyed it all the way through back in 2018. My immediate thought after finishing the first season way back when was that it was a solid show that had it's moments, but likely wasn't going to get a second season. Well, to my surprise, it did end up getting a second season, and even more surprising, the entire season happened to drop on the same day, so of course I binged it, and to noshock, it was more of the same. Once again, Jashin-chan herself really steals the show. Most, if not, all of the funniest jokes and scenes in this show involve her in one way or another. The other characters mostly just exist to work off of Jashin-chan, or rightfully punish her when she does something extremely stupid or evil. While this may come off as a bad thing, it works pretty well for the most part, as Jashin-chan's torment is usually well deserved, since she's a raging, gambling-addicted freak that will go to all lengths to get her way, even backstabbing her own friends. The only other character that really stands out besides Jashin-chan is Satan, who plays the role of a commentator. He adds a nice little kick with some snide comments here and there, and it's obvious they had a lot of fun with his parts. The sound is somewhat of a downgrade from season one. The OP and ED are fine, but both songs are massive downgrades from what we got in 2018. To be completely fair here, however, season one's OP was easily one of the best that year, rivaling OPs like Jojo's Part 5's 'Fighting Gold' among other bangers, so it was a pretty high bar to begin with. All around, the music was fine, and the voice acting was solid. Aina Suzuki once again did an outstanding job voicing Jashin-chan, though, I'm sure her throat is sore from all that screaming. Overall, Jashin-chan Dropkick was a solid comedy. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it does it's job and got more than a few laughs out of me. I enjoyed both seasons and if you're into heavy slapstick and don't mind a fair amount of violence, I'd give this show a watch.

Simply, the second season is more of the first but with a few more characters. If you liked Season 1 by the end of it and could do with more shenanigans, then they delivered. It improves on several aspects, chief of which being Minos actually appearing as prominently as a main cast member should. The new characters the season are nice additions on top. Persophone II is cute but is able to defend herself with a sharp tongue; however she unfortunately doesn’t get the limelight enough. Pino is fine, but Poporone had already taken her role long before she existed. Kyon-Kyon and Ran-Ran get the mostattention of the new cast and have interesting (albeit underdeveloped) goals. Generally, Season 2 focuses more on the main cast, but having more supporting characters to spice things up is nice. However, Season 2 hasn’t entirely improved on much else. No character changes and some jokes that have already overstayed their welcome in Season 1 — such as Jashin-chan gambling and Medusa being used for money (and fourth wall breaking if that was bothersome before) — are still just as present. It truly is more of the same, for better and for worse. Ultimately, I don’t think there’s anything that makes this anime series stand out. It’s enjoyable enough, but I was surprised upon learning how many collaborations it’s had on top of its very successful Season 3 Kickstarter. That said, me thinking, “I would’ve thrown a few bucks at the Season 3 Kickstarter” is a pretty good indicator of where I stand by the end of Season 2.

Jashin-chan Dropkick (aka. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy but anime)'s second season (Dash!) is definitely better than the first. While the first relied on violence-centered jokes with Jashin trying to kill Yurine over and over again, this season's humor is a lot more surreal, tongue-in-cheek, and abstract. The original had several problems that just seem to be fixed here entirely. Jashin came off as too horrible to become likable at times but towards the end of the 1st season when the "IMGONNAKILLYOUDROPKICK" related jokes became less and less she developed a much more goofball personality. In Dash! it's fully developed, and it madeher become my favorite character. Whether it's vibrating furiously at the dentist or singing enka songs for a full 10 minutes, Jashin and her jokes really shine in this season. The rest of the characters have become more well-rounded as well, with Yurine, Pekola and Medusa being my other favorites. The new characters added in this season aren't that bad either, although I do think that the number they have here is enough. Animation-wise this is, again, much improved from the original. The original seemed bland at times with stiff animation - in comparison the number of stupid faces and movements Jashin-chan and co. pull in Dash! is really quite something and always got me chuckling. Jashin-chan Dropkick Dash! is a real treat of a comedy. It's kind of a shame that the first season serves as a roadblock, because it's simply just not as good as this, and I wish more people could watch THIS Jashin-chan. Looking forward to Season 3.

This anime is definitely not for everyone, although if you're reading this; then it's safe to assume you've watched Jashin-chan Dropkick!. The show is absurdly unrealistic and that's the charm to the show. It has a very weird mix of dark humor, with light-hearted spots in it. The show has running gag jokes, breaks the forth wall, introduces new characters, and goes in depth with some of the past of the characters. The new characters are pleasant to see on the screen, and highlight new parts of the show; while giving a different view on certain scenes. If dark humor, exaggerated situations, with spurts of wholesome momentsis charming to you; check this show out.

I concerningly cannot identify what about this show makes it so entertaining for my monkey brain, but all that I know is it just is. I would highly recommend this show as its full of entertaining skits that oftentimes tie together across the series with (potentially) lasting effects. The characters are likeable and are highly enjoyable to watch. I will say that this is also probably the first show that I have watched where there is not a single character that I dislike(excluding shows possessing only 1-2 characters). If you are nostalgic for slapstick comedies this show is right up your ally.

The Smart Aleck Dev- LA means Jashin-chan Dropkick has another season...guess enough people brought the first season Blu Rays... Jashin-chan Dropkick' brings us the meta-comedy hijinks of Yurine and Jashin once again BUT with two new characters to get into the mix. Well let's start off with the two new characters well technically three, anyways first up is Pino who is ANOTHER angel tasked to kill Poporon and Pekola for being traitors to Heaven and God....one guess as to what happens to her, you know considering what happens to ALL angels in this anime. Anyways Pino becomes the custodian of Yurine's apartment and tries to killPersephone in order to get back into Heaven's good graces. The other new characters comes in the form of a jiangshi Kyon Kyon voiced by Nanami Yamashita who wants to become human along with her panda sister Ran-Ran who lives in her pocket clothing (you heard what LA said). Jashin-chan Dropkick' "status quo" from this season to say the least is a little bit of an improvement and AT LEAST LA will say that LA was a bit harsh on the first season mainly with keeping the status quo and this second season does too to a certain extent, mainly Yurine will ALWAYS have the upper hand towards Jashin-chan but in terms of cast interaction and bringing in the new characters and giving them ample screentime is something this season and by extent Jashin-chan Dropkick as a whole does very well. The comedy IS still the same as the first season however, the same meta-joking, character literally jabbing comedy as it always is, yes the running gags are on the nose and the same as the first season as well as the fact that due to Jashin-chan Dropkick's meta nature tries to pull the wool over us sometimes by giving us red herring circumstances...but again...the one constant in all this is...Yurine will always have the upper hand towards Jashin...ALWAYS, well at least the new characters does change things up a bit, mainly the dynamic of Pekola as one she has more people to interact with namely Pino and Kyon Kyon with the rest of the cast. Jashin and Yurine's relationship does get touched on a bit namely with Jashin getting really cozy with living with Yurine and Yurine in turn likes Jashin's antics (to the degree of her not wasting money and food) as Jashin in a way brought the rest of the cast to surround Yurine and likes how lively it is in turn, so this dynamic is touched upon which was "nice". Which in turn LA will note the amount of blood and "gore" was reduced this season which was something LA noticed, let's say Yurine's "punishments" got a bit more creative......a bit. The production value is pretty much the same as the first season, NOMAD once again animated it and the first season cast is back. NOMAD's aesthetics towards this season hasn't changed and is at the very most consistent, with the slightly exaggerated reactions and chibi moments for comedy and as for the voice cast, LA will give props to Aina Suzuki as Jashin this season as her psychotic jerkass cadence has been reduced to a jerkass cadence this season. Like the firsts season it's what you'd expect from this kind of meta-jokey slapstick comedy anime in terms of voice cast. The Smart Ale- Jashin-chan Dropkick' has some "slight" improvements from the first season but plot and comedy-wise is the pretty much the same as the first season. So if your just clamoring for more Jashin-chan Dropkick, then Jashin-chan Dropkick' dropkicked it's way into the Spring 2020 with a......meh....it's alright...almost harmless really. "Same verse, same as the first"
