[Intro] Before I start reviewing and giving reasons, I'd like to say this is not a spoiler free review. If you're a Dragonball Z superfan, make sure you watch this at least once and give it a chance, you may like it, and may regret not watching it. Now, I'd like to say this really was the worst anime movie I've ever seen, I would never even consider watching this again, now onto my review. [Story] To me, this movie was dragged out, they was desperate for ideas, oh I know, lets create a bio-broly...ooo what a great idea...not! Bad idea. Wtf was they thinking? Lets make abiologically poisoned green broly and make goku kll him AGAIN. I mean cmon guys, Goku has killed him AND gohan? Why do we want 3 story's of the same bad guy? 2 Points for lack of originality. [Animation] This really was nothing special so I gave it a 6 the characters don't seem to be thought about much more than the story was, nothing new that impressed me like the animation from other movies tried to add something new and additional. Bio-broly didn't impress me at all for originality. [Sound] This wasn't too bad but yet again, nothing special. [Characters] Same as Dragonball Z with a super pathetic attempt to re-introduce Broly for the third time? Maybe forth? Since I haven't watched all broly movies I'm not 100 pct sure...but yea, dragged on and on... [Enjoyment] I didn't enjoy this at all, and to be honest I wish I could refund the time it took me to watch it.

I saved Bio Broly for last in my trilogy of reviews for the 3 terrible DBZ movies. Why? If you were to ask 100 DBZ fans which is the worst DBZ movie, about 75 of them would say Bio Broly. This is by FAR the most hated film by the DBZ fandom. Today I will be examining whether or not this film is truly deserving of all the hate it gets. Before diving into movie 11, we first have to examine the character of Broly. For those of you who are new to DBZ, Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan and the most naturally gifted memberof the strongest alien race in the universe. This guy is like the Hulk. He is an unstoppable force of primal rage that everyone thinks is an awesome badass. However, Broly doesn't really have a lot of character depth. Broli's driving motive in all 3 films he appears in is his burning hatred for Goku...because Goku was born on the same day as Broli and annoyed the 1 day old Broly by crying continuously. Yep. That's really why Broly HATES Goku. How does Broly remember what happened when he was 24 hours old? Why does he care that some other baby cried and somewhat annoyed him when they were infants? None of this is ever explained. All we know is that BROLY MAD, BROLY SMASH! When he was first introduced in DBZ movie 8, Broly actually had some menacing dialogue and engaged the Z fighters in one of the most brutal, non-stop fights in the entire series. Movie 8 also used the technique of taking a previously established badass (Vegeta) and making him look like a total BITCH when faced with this new guy. This narrative technique called "jobbing" in Pro-Wrestling makes the newly introduced character look really cool because he just made the guy you previously thought was cool look like a complete pussy! EVERYONE jumped on the Broli train and this shallow Hulk ripoff became one of the most popular characters in DBZ history! DBZ Movie 8 was extremely enjoyable and easily one of the best DBZ movies, but the writers felt they needed to milk more out of Broly and brought him back for a lesser sequel. It wasn't good, but it wasn't THAT bad. Unfortunately, they decided to bring Broly back AGAIN and we got this piece of shit! Bio Broly is about how some rich dude wants revenge against everyone's favorite buffoon, Mr. Satan. The rich guy tries to kill Mr. Satan by forcing him to fight against his genetically engineered "Bio-warriors", one of whom happens to be a blob monster version of Broli created from a sample of Broli's blood left over from the last movie. Apparently Goku and Vegeta are dead during this movie and it is after Android 18 threw the match to Mr. Satan during the Buu saga. However, none of the movies are canon and all of them have massive continuity problems that make them impossible to logically fit into the timeline, despite the best efforts of some DBZ fanboys. Apparently it is up the comedic duo of Goten and Trunks to take down the blob monster version of Broli. I guess Gohan and Piccolo are busy? This of course means that this movie is going to get VERY silly and have some ludicrously stupid action scenes. The plot and action in this film is shit, but I will now get to the reason I actually don't consider this the very worst DBZ movie. Most of the DBZ movies follow a very specific formula: Bad guy shows up, Goku fights bad guy, Goku kills bad guy with the Spirit Bomb. Now that Fukkatsu no F has been released, I can say that Goku has killed or otherwise defeated the bad guy in 13 of the 15 DBZ movies! This one of only 2 movies in which SOMETHING different happens. We get to focus on the more comedic characters: Goten, Trunks, Mr. Satan, and my first anime "waifu" Android 18. These aren't characters that we really get to see too often, so it is a refreshing change. This movie fails as an action film, but sort of works as a comedy. By contrast, movies 4 and 6 don't work in any category! Therefore, I would argue that while this movie indeed sucks it is NOT the worst DBZ movie after all! However, don't confuse that statement with a recommendation. Just because this isn't the absolute worst DBZ movie, doesn't mean that you should actually watch it.

Being the third title featuring the legendary super saiyan Broly, this one did not disappoint. Story - The story takes place during the Buu Saga (but does not in any way, co-exist with the main plot of this particular saga) and shows the aftermath of what happened after the fight between Hercule and Android 18. After some of Hercule's pleading and screaming and Android 18's demanding of what she was promised, Hercule finally comes to an agreement, only if she helps Hercule out with a matter of his own. This is where the actual story happens here. During the trip to this mysterious island, Jaguar (longterm rival of Hercule) introduces Hercule to his bio-warriors but they are quickly defeated due to Android 18, Goten and Trunks (who sneaked in). Anyway, without spoiling anything any further, Goten and Trunks encounter Broly inside a pod and that is when things get really interesting. Art - Just like what you would expect from any DBZ episode. Sound - Pretty much what I said above. Character - This was an interesting move to pull off. The characters are not any of the main characters you would expect to see in a DBZ movie. Except they are the characters that you would most likely see in the sideline. So there are no surprise appearences from Goku, Vegeta, Gohan or Piccolo. Android 18, Goten and Trunks are the main characters for this film....I guess Hercule can be included as a main character, but I just see him as the comical relief more than anything :P Enjoyment - I enjoyed my experience watching this film, regardless of what other people might say, this one does not have a bad story, it doesn't suck. Overall - Adding on from my previous comments. This movie doesn't suck, its good, nothing that will change your whole perspective of the DBZ universe though. All the things you would expect from the DBZ show/movies are all there. Comical relief due to Hercule, great fight scenes and all that.

[Spoilers] This Dragon Ball Z movie was very unnecessary, i'm very positive Akira Toriyama was going through mid-life crisis and needed money badly, so voilà! I present to you Swamp Monster! I mean Bio-Broly! What is the point of bringing back Broly if you're literally going to make him walking fecal-matter! I should have watched this movie in Japanese and without subtitles just so I didn't have to worry about missing any important piece to the movie, because literally story is not a thing here. Toriyama looked up to the sky, shed a tear and said "Lord, do not smite me for what I have bestowedon the people who made me successful and is the reason why I sleep comfortably and eat every night and day, but muah! muah! My latest masterpiece! A silver platter of spicy sh*t!" I have not seen a larger disaster since the 2010 BP Oil Spill, or even worse, shall I even say it, the birth of Jaden Smith. Goku, our lord and savior wasn't even in the film, and i'm sure he couldn't have saved this catastrophe of a DBZ movie. Goku shows up at the very last few seconds of the movie and is shown eating. That's about it, just eating. I'm sure Toriyama only added that last scene of Goku eating because that is what they think us "Westerners" can relate to. Eating. Well Toriyama, i'm ending this on the note of saying that I am appalled that you created this movie and i'm shocked to see that you didn't make this a hentai film because that is another stereotype of your western fans. No, not all of us eat a lot and no, not all of us touch ourselves to animated drawings doing obscene things like getting penetrated by 8 ft tentacles! At least you got that one right, good thing you have loyal fans because i'm sure if they weren't loyal you'd be creating mediocre flash "dress up games" like "Dress up Selena Gomez" or "Dress up Whoopi Goldberg!" Anyway, this has been a Clams review. Barely. I can't review a 40 minute milked movie with no story or good characters. If you'd like me to review anything just message me.

Holy crap, a great Dragon Ball movie out of nowhere! What do you get when you take the plot of a gore-heavy sci-fi B-movie and put it in the world of Dragon Ball? You get a movie where a rich snob, basically Augustus St. Cloud from Venture Bros., challenges world-famous "hero" Mr. Satan to a duel as revenge for ruining his childhood, and then sics a bunch of ooze-covered bio-warriors on him. And then Broly comes back, this time in the form of a clone covered in ooze, and he looks like Swamp Thing. This is everything I want out of an action-packed anime movie, andI had no idea I'd be getting it out of the, what, eleventh one of these stupid things? The movie is filled with fighting and action and danger but it's not all about one overly-powerful buff dude beating everyone up; instead, it focuses on the bizarre sci-fi elements, which includes a lot of gross-out horror with dudes getting melted by acid and stuff. Thankfully (sadly?) it's not graphic at all, and the movie is more geared towards the ridiculous humor of it all. What kind of Dragon Ball movie has a cast like this? Our main heroes are... wait for it... Goten, Trunks, Mr. Satan, and... Android 18? Krillin makes an appearance too, but other than that, we don't have any of the usual cast coming in here and turning things into a monotonous punchfest. Crazy good stuff, and I might recommend it even more highly on a rewatch. Since it's just 46 minutes long including credits, it's also a zippy-fast watch, and the first one since Dead Zone I can recommend with zero caveats. We've got a few more DBZ movies to go, and I have high hopes for Fusion Reborn based on my knowledge of it, but Bio-Broly could end up being the tops, and that's crazy. As for the timeline, this is a direct sequel to the previous Broly movie, featuring some of the same plot threads and apparently taking place very shortly afterwards. It would also be set shortly before the Budokai Tenkaichi though Mr. Satan's prominent role makes it a bit suspect considering how shocked he was about having to duel one of these two kids during the tournament. Once again it can't be "canon" because of the Super Broly movie, but "canon" is stupid anyway.

Being a long time Dragon Ball Z fan, I will try not to allow my bias affect my review for this film. However Dragon Ball Z has always produced a long line of low grade straight-to-DVD films, with this film being no exception, however while a lot of the Dragon Ball Z films are well worth watching, this one however does not make the cut. With a mediocre story and very little character development, (a hallmark of a Dragon Ball Z movie), followed by a continuation of the Broly story arc which should have stopped at Second Coming, Bio-Broly will have you wanting those 50minutes of your life back.

Alright, time to tackle the last of the Broly trilogy. After witnessing how terrible Second Coming was, I was hoping this would be better. Thankfully, it is, but not by much. Story: The story is basically the same as Second Coming, except replace Videl with 18 as the female non-super saiyan that is here just to show how weak regular people (or in this case androids) are compared to saiyans and throw in Hercule because the story says so. The story was handled a lot better here since it shows the consequences of their actions during the fights, which is mostly random people getting killed off,but at least it's something. Characters do still have a tendency to come out of nowhere when the writers write themselves into a corner, but that seems to be a staple of the series by this point. Then there's Broly's defeat, which wasn't all that satisfying, but made more sense than Second Coming's defeat of Broly (seriously, when did the Dragon Balls gain the ability to read minds? Do they not need to do the chant anymore? Then why didn't it do that earlier?). Art: Like pretty much all of the DBZ movies, the art for this one is the exact same as the show. The only difference here when compared to the previous movies are some designs of the bio-warriors and Bio-Broly himself, which are all just generic designs and Bio-Broly is just a big glob with some hair sticking out and eyes. Sound: Surprisingly, there isn't much of a soundtrack, or at least not a memorable one. The previous DBZ movies had some great rock music that got your blood pumping for the fights. Not so much here. As for the voice acting, it's good enough, although 18 could at least show some emotion. I know she's a robot, but she's become one of the main characters of the show by this point. She could try harder not to sound so robotic. Character: This is another spot that I think this movie did better than Second Coming. Goten is actually bearable in this film. He's not whining all the time and actually acts like a kid. There's also no piss jokes, except for one at the beginning, which automatically makes this a million times better than Second Coming, which was filled with them (seriously, did Adam Sandler direct that movie?). Everyone else is the same as either the show or previous films, depending on who you're looking at. Enjoyment: With this being the final Broly movie, unless they really want to do another one based on the ending, it was good. It could have been done a lot worse and was done a lot worse, if my numerous jabs at Second Coming weren't enough of a hint as to how much I can't stand that film. While not as good as other DBZ movies, like the first Broly movie or Cooler's Revenge, it's not the worst one I've seen.

Probably my least favourite DBZ film but still saying that after watching 11 out of 14 Dragonball Z films in the past few days one thing is very clear, if you are looking for a enhancing deep story line to grab your attention don't bother, on the other hand if you a hardcore DBZ or shonen fan and you just want to sit back relax and watch a short and epic action take place this movie and all the other movies are probably for you. Ill keep the rest of this review short and sweet: 1)simple story line evil bad guy returns fight commences bad guyis defeated. 2)Art is pretty good for its time and if you are an old school fan you wont care anyway. 3)sound is always pretty good. 4) there are very limited characters in this movie but its still good and Mr Satan is pretty funny too. 5) last but not least if you are an old school fan or just looking for something simple to watch with explosions fighting and power this is the film for you.

It has be a while since last time I watched this abomination, this movie could be the worst DB movies ever in the world (Well if you don't that freaking DB Evolution live-action movie), I still hate this movie and still make me anger about it. Story: 1/10 The story is take placed sometime after Broly: Second Coming, someone was going to created a clone of Broly, who has be killed by Son family in the previous movie. BUT, instead of making a Broly's clone look like the original, they are going to making this clone Broly become a freaking goo monster and it is WAY weakerthan the original Broly himself. Goten and Trunks are trying to defeat this goo monster and this goo monster was defeated by getting solidified in the sea. The story is so dumb and boring as hell, this movie is making me went to sleep and getting anger and more anger after finished watching this. I having no idea what the hell is Toei Animation thinking when they create this movie, can't they don't tells a story about Broly again or at least don't make the clone Broly transformed into a weird, stupid and boring goo monster? Not to mention the final part on how clone Broly was death is stupid as hell, I will rather having Goten or anyone else in this movie kill Bio-Broly with their finishing moves rather than this abomination. Art: 9/10 Like the other DBZ movies, the art is so good and similar to the DB manga. Sound: 8/10 Shunsuki Kikuchi's music and the ending song (Dragon Power Mugendai) are the only good thing about this movie, through Kikuchi's music in this movie sound a bit off compare to most of the movies which have a awesome orchestral and Kung-Fu style music. Kikuchi's music in this movie it isn't so memorial after all. (I grow up with the Japanese music so yeah) Character: 1/10 I don't even know how should I said about the characters, the characters appeared in this movie was so boring and it have nearly no development. Enjoyment: 1/10 Don't know what should I said but this movie is so awful, it get me went to fall alsleep all the time or getting angry about it because of the awful story and it not enjoyable. Overall: 2/10 So that's it, I giving 2 mostly because of the art and music of this movie.

Dragon Ball Z Movie 11 Bio Broli is one of the most forgettable Dragon Ball movies despite featuring the selling point of having one of the most popular villainous character involved. The reason why its ignored is mainly nothing really stands out. There is no big scene like Goku using a new transformation. No signature move is used to defeat the enemy. But these alone wouldn't make a movie bad. The action is really good. Bio Broli's power is justified being a clone of Broli. Every scene with Mr Satan is hilarious. So how can this movie be considered bad? Bio Broli's antagonist is Mr Satan's former martial arts rival. Some rich and fat dude. He wants to humiliate Mr Satan by letting him get beat up by fighters made from Bio Technology. So he blackmails Mr Satan to make him accepts his challenge. Goten, Trunks and Android 18 get involved because 18 wants the price money Mr Satan promised. This movie should have been released around the end of the Dragon Ball Z tournament, that took place before Boo awakened, but it can't fit simply because Fusion isn't used. Turns out that one of the Bio Warriors is a clone of Broli. It looks hideous which honestly makes people rather not want to see him in video games. When people say Broli has no personality they probably talk about Bio Broli. The guy can't speak and randomly destroys shit. No mimic no nothing. It's not the only antagonist. The next one is gue that consumes anything organic it touches They win through Mr Satan giving Goten a clue what his weakness is. And that weakness is one of the stupidest thing because it's basically everywhere so it would never really pose a threat after Trunks did a certain thing. This movie is better than what most people would let you believe. It's not as bad as Battle of Gods or Revival of F. And one can argue if anything ruins Broli's character, its Dragon Ball Z Movie 10. Bio Broli is its own entity. This movie also tried to focus on a new cast of character that aren't usually involved or get minimal roles. Android 18 does something. Main antagonist wants revenge on Mr Satan. Goten and Trunks are the lead. Sadly Goten and Trunks just aren't interesting characters and the movie wasted the opportunity to make us care for them. They were already annoying in Movie 10 and parody characters in the Boo Saga that made the arc worse. Now staring them in a movie was risky and didn't pay off simply because they are characters known to just goof around. It also seems like the writers wanted to make a Dragon Ball movie by the style of the original. More comedic. Child protagonists. Mitged antagonist similar to Commander Red which both have immense resources to get what they want. And I think that's a problem because people don't usually watch Dragon Ball Z to see these kinds of things especially in a movie that has Broli in it. A story with a character with a deep backstory, lots of symbolic imagery and muscle bound brawls. So Broli fans were disappointed. Even if you like those things, it fails to catch the essence of original Dragon Ball since Goten and Trunks aren't like Goku outcasts from society. So they can't fit into similar situation where kid Goku would have worked better. Which leaves both parties disappointed. Overall, visuals are great and OST are good. Fight against Bio Broli was engaging but like Gotenks vs Super Boo it is pretty forgettable. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone but it is not as bad as many make it out to be.

The WORST DBZ movie out of all the bad ones (and by bad ones, I mean roughly 90% out of the 13 movies I've seen, I haven't seen Battle of Gods and have no intention to see it). Only for the most hardcore DBZ fans, and there's no guarantee even these kind of folk won't be disappointed. This movie was shit when I was on my DBZ hype which was when I was around 14, roughly six years ago, and I doubt I would find it any better now. Compared to the Broly in this movie, he was the best written villain in the entireDBZ universe in the two other movies he's in, and you know that can only mean bad when you take a terrible villain and somehow manage to make him even worse. I suppose turning the fucking guy into a walking pile of shit (quite literally) helps with that. Wasting 50 minutes on this garbage was not the worst decision of my life, but I wouldn't say it was a good one, either.

Well, the dismantlement of Broly continued with yet another horrid entry into the DBZ line up, and it's really sad too when considering Broly was a character with so much potential. He was probably the most interesting character since Frieza, and he had this certain charisma about him that seemed to disappear with each sequel. Now Bio Broly is probably the most hated DBZ movie and rightfully so. Personally I have a hard time billing it as the worst or my most hated, because I can think of at least two that are truly horrendous. The writers try to tie this one into the mainseries despite there being no way it can possibly fit, plus commit other sins along the way. The plot follows Mr. Satan as he volunteers Android 18, Goten, and Trunks, to compete in a tournament for his life. Their battle and soon investigation of the hideout leads them to a cloned version of Broly in a test tube, he breaks out and the rivalry begins anew. Now the movie does surpass the last sequel in terms of action only. The action segments are nothing to brag about but they're not completely horrible either, plus they're well dispersed through out. The animation has some decent choreography once in awhile, sadly, that's about the only good thing I can think of. The character designs are rather bad for the Bio-Warriors, and nothing seems to stand out. Broly's new design was just so awful to look at, I mean wow. I also couldn't get into the BGM much either, the music was boring and it really didn't help matters. I couldn't stop scratching my head with this horrible story. I just about hopped out of my seat when I first saw this movie. I couldn't understand using the shaman from the last movie in such a big role here whom probably didn't even have ten minutes of screen time total. I also wondered how he learned so much about Saiyans, much less the Legendary Super Saiyan, along with his name. I thought the Saiyans were a secret from everybody, and because of this, I found the story nearly impossible to buy into. I also couldn't get over Trunks pulling off Goku's signature move the Kamehameha Wave. I mean he should have been pulling off his father's move the Galik Gun for backstory and character development sake, and Broly is just horribly written here. In the last movie, he came off as a one-lined dimwit, here the dimwit is still intact only he has no lines at all. Seriously, Number 18 is the only one in this movie I find tolerable. She clearly wears the pants in the marriage with Krillin, and I found her dominance when giving orders, plus selling her services to Mr. Satan to be downright hilarious. When looking at the bright side, at least the Broly chapter is finally over and the next movies in the franchise are very watchable to straight up good. If you're not a fan of DBZ then you can leave this alone forever. If you are then it should be seen only for completion sake. Highs: Android 18 Lows: Just about everyone else

In this movie Broly doesn't even look like Broly, doesn't fight like Broly, it's just a thing they call Broly. The early part is just shitty comedy with hercule, then Trunks and Goten come in and things don't get much better. When the fighting starts it's not interesting, it's just goo they occasionally swing at, then they just fight it with more goo. More shitty comedy, then it's over. I didn't find it quite as annoying as the second Broly movie, but this whole movie is basically nothing. It was nice to see 18 being used, but they chose to bring in Trunks and Goten againfor some reason. Bizarrely everyone including the random humans know it's Broly and they know what a Saiyan is, at least in the English dub. They bring back a shitty character from the previous movie, and the fighting doesn't even seem like DBZ.

Bio Broly, the final Z movie containing him is by far the worst of a shitty batch, and genuinely one of the worst action moves to have plagued my senses. There is pretty much nothing I liked about this movie, and many many things I disliked. It really looks like they ran completely dry of any semblence of an interesting idea to put here. Our cast in this movie is boring, and I didn't like the treatment of any of our characters. This movie does not look good, and it has no memorable soundtracks. The plot is somehow possibly the most braindead yet. Mr. Satan isblackmailed by a kid he fought and beat back in summer camp, and threatens to reveal the fact that Satan wet his pants as a child. To stop this from happening, Satan travels to an Island where artificially created bio monsters wait to jump him. Tagging along is Android 18, who wants money from Satan- along with Goten and Trunks. Here's the twist: The shaman from the village that Goten and Trunks saved last movie has retrieved DNA from Broly's body and managed to resurrect him into a literal walking steaming pile of yellow shit. Why, you might ask, did this wonderful character make a return for revenge? His entire motive for doing so is because Goten and Trunks stopped the Shaman from sacraficing the village kids to the dinosaur. Brilliant. The fight itself is really boring, apart from a couple moments of Goten and Trunks teaming together. Android 18 doesn't really do anything, and has to be saved by Krillin. They defeat Broly by splashing him with sea water. That's his fucking weakness. THE FIGHT TAKES PLACE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN. Terrible movie, I don't see how anyone would enjoy watching this. Not reccomended.
