Carlton is a character of the day who appeared in Searching for a Wish!. He lives with his wife Lotus and their daughter Gemma in a mountainous part of Capacia Island. Carlton left his home and family two years ago in search of a solution after the valley where he lived experienced a drought. His long absence left Gemma, in particular, feeling upset, and she subsequently went out to find a Jirachi to wish away the drought. Carlton later returned in Searching for a Wish!. By that point, Gemma had found Jirachi, but it had been left badly injured from an encounter with Team Rocket. Carlton recalled ancient legends from his research and instructed Gemma to put it at its resting place, the Shrine of the Mountain, so it could heal.
